My Bio
Working as a scientist with an interest in scientific illustration. Primarily molecules but also more general 3d digital art with a scientific angle.
Currently I have now switched from Cararra 8.5 which was OK in many ways, very intuitive to work with, but quite buggy and sometimes. It is now almost obsolete and I have switched to Blender. Fantastic!
I use GIMP for textures and do my best to avoid post work apart from contrast brightness adjustment. Lately I have been posting at Artstation (www.artstation.com/oskar-a) since Deviant is less lively and I think the whole thing needs a major overhaul to stay attractive.

All those who complain about Japanese knotweed and other fairly timid invasive plants; Check this video!

It seems that my "Raspberry jellies" piece wasa hit. Record number of faves and an invitation from #digital-artists to post in their 3d-folder too. Very encouraging indeed. Zero faves for my Lab gear work, loads for the candies. I wonder why?

I have a commision and a company may make either Maya or 3DsMax available to me. It seems that both are very capable programs but which also require a LOT of effort to appreciate. If anybody could help with some thoughts on what I should choose I'd be very grateful indeed.
